Getting Started

First, drag and drop your audio into NeonWaves. Then select the part of the track you want to transform, or select the entire track if you want the effect to run throughout.

Reverb: Add Space, Depth, and Atmosphere

Reverb shapes the sense of space, depth, and atmosphere in your audio. It’s what makes a flat recording sound like it happened in a small room, a large hall, or anywhere in between. It affects how a listener perceives distance and size.

Here’s how to apply it:

  1. Go to Transform, then Effects, and click Reverb.
  2. Choose a built-in preset for a fast result, or adjust the parameters manually for more control.
  3. Click Preview to hear the change before you commit to it.
  4. Click Apply.

Reverb works especially well on vocal recordings. It turns a dry, flat take into something that feels natural and alive.

Distortion: Shape Character and Intensity

Distortion lets you shape the character and intensity of your sound. You can go subtle, adding a light coloration, or push it further into a bold, aggressive effect.

To apply it:

  1. Go to Transform, then Effects, and click Distortion.
  2. Start with a preset, or fine-tune the settings yourself.
  3. Preview the result.
  4. Click Apply once you’re happy with it.

Use distortion when you want grit, edge, or a creative twist that moves a sound away from its natural tone.

Flange: Create Movement and Texture

Flange adds a sweeping, textured motion to your audio. Sound designers often reach for it when a track needs extra character or a sense of motion.

The process is the same as the other two effects:

  1. Go to Transform, then Effects, and click Flange.
  2. Use a preset as your starting point, or customize the parameters yourself.
  3. Preview your adjustments and fine-tune as needed.
  4. Click Apply when the result sounds right.
