Everyone gets exactly the same amount of time each week: 168 hours. TrackTime is a free, browser-based weekly time tracker built around that simple idea.
It helps you answer one important question: how much of your 168 hours is actually left for your goals, dreams, hobbies, and personal projects? First, add the time you spend sleeping, working, commuting, doing chores, and handling other everyday tasks. TrackTime then shows you how much free time remains.
What Does TrackTime Do?
TrackTime starts with your complete weekly time budget of 168 hours. From there, you can divide your week into eight everyday categories: Sleep, Work/School, Commute, Food, Chores, Entertainment, Social, and Sport.
For each category, enter how many hours it takes per day. Then choose the exact days when that activity takes place. For example, Work might apply from Monday to Friday, while Sport might only apply three days a week.
As you enter your time, TrackTime calculates the weekly total for each category automatically. It also adds those hours to your total used time. At the same time, the app updates your remaining hours and the weekly progress bar.
In addition, the progress bar changes color as your week fills up. Green shows that plenty of time remains. Orange warns that your available time is shrinking, while red shows that most of your 168 hours are already taken. As a result, you can understand your weekly time budget at a glance.
Why the 168-Hour Framing Matters
It is easy to underestimate how much time everyday responsibilities consume. Likewise, many people overestimate how much free time they actually have.
TrackTime solves this problem by giving every activity a place within the same fixed limit: 168 hours. Instead of simply feeling that you are busy, you can see exactly where your time goes.
Most importantly, a clear number makes it easier to make changes. You might discover that entertainment takes more time than expected. Alternatively, you may find several unused hours that you could spend on a personal project, learning a new skill, exercising, or simply relaxing.
Display and Customization
TrackTime supports both English and German. The app automatically detects your browser language when you open it. However, you can switch languages at any time with a simple tap.
You can also display your remaining time in either hours or days. In addition, TrackTime offers a light theme, a dark theme, and an automatic theme that follows your system settings.
Your browser stores your entries and preferences locally. Therefore, TrackTime can restore your previous setup when you return. This includes your entered hours, selected days, language, display unit, and theme.

See Where Your 168 Hours Really Go
Time can feel abstract until you put real numbers behind it. TrackTime makes your week visible by showing exactly how much time your everyday activities consume.
Once you know where your hours go, you can make better decisions about how to use the time that remains. Whether you want more time for a side project, fitness, family, learning, or relaxation, TrackTime gives you a simple starting point.
After all, you cannot add more hours to the week. However, you can make better use of the 168 hours you already have.
