How to Generate Sounds from Scratch in Neonwaves

Need silence, noise, a custom tone, or a DTMF signal for your project? You do not need a separate app for each one. You can generate sounds directly inside NeonWaves with just a few clicks.

This guide walks you through every sound type NeonWaves can create, so you can build exactly what your project needs!

Getting Started:

Open NeonWaves and go to Generate. This is where all of the app’s sound creation tools live. From here, you can produce silence, several types of noise, custom tones, and DTMF signals, each with its own settings for duration and, where relevant, frequency.

Generating Noise

Click Noise to get started. Select a preset, then click Preview to hear it before committing.
Once you are happy with the sound, set the duration you need and click Generate . Your chosen noise type is added to the track instantly.

Generating Silence

Sometimes a project needs a clean gap instead of sound.
Click Silence, set the duration, and click Generate. NeonWaves inserts a precise block of silence at the length you specify, very useful for pacing, pauses, or spacing out edits.

Generating Custom Tones

Click Tones to create a specific pitch or test signal. Select and preview the built-in presets, or adjust the frequency and duration manually until you get the exact sound you are after. Click Generate and the tone is ready in your track.

Generating DTMF Signals

For touch-tone style signals, click DTMF Signals. You can select a preset or build a custom signal, set the duration, and click Generate. This is especially useful for testing, telephony-related projects, or recreating classic dial tones.

Save and Keep Editing

Once your generated audio sounds right, do not forget to save the file.
From there, your new sound is ready for further editing in NeonWaves, whether you want to layer it with other audio, trim it, or adjust its volume.
